Bowyer refusing to panic West Ham United midfielder Lee Bowyer is adamant that a lack of confidence is not to blame for the team's poor run of results. Gianfranco Zola's side have lost five of their last six games to slip to only one point above the relegation zone, but Bowyer is convinced the Hammers' luck will soon start to change. He insisted: "The confidence isn't low. There's no team outplaying us. If you look at the Everton game, we outplayed them, yet lost. "Results matter but, if you look at the football we're playing, it makes us feel we're going the right way." Meanwhile, the Carlos Tevez saga seems set to rumble on until next month. An independent tribunal ruled earlier this year that Tevez was not eligible to play for West Ham at the end of the 2006-07 season and the Blades have now gone to the High Court in order to obtain an injunction to prevent West Ham appealing against the decision. Mr Justice Teare will now consider the evidence and will hand down a judgement "at some point before Christmas". |
