Mowbray seeks new signings

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Mowbray has admitted that he needs to find a couple of new faces to bolster his squad, with the Baggies currently bottom of the Premier League table.

Mowbray's side have picked up just one point from their last five games and, although the manager is relatively content with the performances, he accepts that reinforcements will be needed.

He said: "I have been happy with the team. While the league table doesn't look great at the moment, the points accrued is okay for this time of the season.

"We had the scenario last week where Bolton might have been in the bottom three if they hadn't have won, but they did and jumped into the top half of the table.

"It is that sort of scenario we face. We are still in there. We are three points off mid-table and we've got to keep believing and keep going.

"I am personally enjoying watching my team play. A bit more know-how, someone who knows their way around the division at both ends of the field, to score more goals and to help the midfield defensively or to help in the back four, would be a great help to the side.

"We continue the search and hopefully in January we can strengthen our team and keep pushing on.

"But we have still got great belief in the group of players we've got that we can have a good season."
