Tigers boss handed FA fine Hull City manager Phil Brown has been handed a £1,000 fine and warned over his future conduct by the Football Association due to his actions during the 5-0 thrashing by Wigan Athletic. The Tigers suffered a humiliating defeat at the KC Stadium at the end of August, with Brown reportedly kicking a water bottle which hit the fourth official, before the City boss voluntarily went to sit in the stands. A statement from the Tigers read: "At an FA Regulatory Commission hearing, Hull City manager Phil Brown was warned as to his future conduct and fined £1,000. "Brown admitted a charge of improper conduct relating to his touchline behaviour during the match against Wigan at the KC Stadium on 30 August. "In reaching its decision, the Commission took into account Brown's admission of the charge, his immediate apology to the match officials and the steps the club has taken to ensure there will be no repeat." |
