Brown calls for home support Hull City manager Phil Brown has called for patience from the home fans ahead of Sunday's visit of Manchester City. The Tigers remain sixth in the Premier League table following their sensational start to life in the top-flight, but three successive defeats in recent games have led to Brown calling for maximum support from the KC Stadium crowd this weekend. "As far as I'm concerned, I look forward to playing at the KC," said Brown. "I love the stadium, I love the people and I love the atmosphere. "On a good day, it's absolutely fantastic but when you have a bad day, at times people are too ready to get on top of you too quickly." Following last Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Bolton Wanderers, Hull have win just two home games this season and Brown is hoping to improve on that record. "We've had to dust ourselves down a wee bit because Bolton was a game that we expected to get something from," he added. "That's where the disappointment lies but I couldn't ask for anything more from the players. I could ask for more where the home fans are concerned. "Could you say they could become more vocal? Maybe, but I understand that they are waiting for us as well." |
